So close to Selfridges and Digbeth. A short way from the restaurant Ekachai Noodle Bar.
The hotel was situated near the city center, it only took a 5-10 minute walk. The room was in fantasric condition, looked like the furniture couldn't be more then a year old tops. It was very modern, clean and comfortable. It doesn't say on the front of the building that it is a hotel, it only said business school or something it's easy to find as long as you know not to look for a place which says hotel.
Breakfast was 10 pounds per person so we didn't even consider having it there, it's way to expensive.
Staff at the actual hotel (as supposed to phone staff) where very friendly and efficient. Can not fault them at all.
Reception staff should be more informative with regards to facilities available. Availability of food and drink and its location within the vicinity was not communicated. Parking facilities not communicated.
Just over night stay
Convenient and comfortable
The lock on my door did not work. It was a single, room 347, near the lift and stairs. I reported it to reception but no action was taken.
Very close to the city centre without the noise and the parking was cheap
I was surprised that I had to pay for our stay on arrival even though I had previously entered my card details to this website for booking the hotel. It needs to beade clearer on the website I think.
For the price the rooms and breakfast are excellent. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The location is in Aston University and very handy for the city centre. Nice one.
My only complaint is the early check out time of 10am - even though breakfast is still serving at that time. The hotel sells itself for shopping breaks and city breaks in Birmingham for which it is well placed, but I think 11am would be more acceptable on a weekend at least.
Convenient for meeting at Aston University
Very friendly staff, great welcome, luxurious and very clean room, even tea making facility, bathroom with tub, again very clean, shampoo/shower gel incl., Very comfortable bed and good size for uk hotel, everything there what you need plus more than that - we were tempted to stay in room all day rather than visiting Birmingham ;-)
Centrally located. Room ok. Dining Area. Bar. Good Breakfast
Lift system from floor 3. Used the stairs. Evening meal was a bit mediocre in size and flavour.
Reasonably central,en suite, warm and comfortable.
Not very easy to find at first. essentially student accommodation given a makeover and rebranded as a hotel. Warren like corridors also. But it was cheap.
this hotel is located in a University campus, environment is very nice. It takes me 15 minutes by walk to the new street railway station which is quite convenient.
Good location (10 min walk to Bullring and New Street station), willing staff, cosy rooms, clean, if lucky also quiet.
Good old-fashioned English stuff - microscopic washbasin with separated taps, fixed showerhead with every drop of water counted, doors slamming all night long...
For the money it was clean and covenient
Very firm beds and single rather small
The reception staff were excellent. I arrived very early and was given access to me room as one was available whcih I really apprecited as i hah been travelling since 4 am
I could hear voices and the TV from adjacent room. I dont think it was the people but rahter the design it seemed to come through the air vents
